You can add abandoned cart blocks to your campaigns to encourage your contacts to complete an order they previously started but never finished.

Using the abandoned cart block to build an abandoned cart campaign can have many benefits:

  • Increase conversions
Remind your customers of any items they left in their cart and provide them with a link to complete their order.

  • Personalisation
Personalise your abandoned cart campaign to make it more relevant to your contact. Using personalisation to talk directly with your contact might increase the chances of the customer completing their purchase.

  • Better ROI
Increase your return on investment by targeting contacts with products they have already shown an interest in.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

Add an abandoned cart block

  1. In EasyEditor, drag the Abandoned cart block into your campaign.

  2. The block appears in your campaign, and uses the styles of wherever you've placed it in your template.

  3. A contact with an abandoned cart sees their items listed with the product's image, name and quantity, and the total price for that particular item. An overall cart amount is given at the foot of the block, and a button that takes the customer back to complete their order.

Analytics

You can add tracking information to your Last browsed block. This allows you easily tell if users have visited your site from a product in your campaign.

Tracking information can be added using any of the UTM parameters you have set up in your account. If you have set link tracking at a campaign-specific level, you see the campaign-level tracking parameters. Otherwise, you see your account-level parameters.

To add UTM tracking parameters to your abandoned cart email:

  1. On the EasyEditor canvas, select the Abandoned cart block.

  2. In the side panel, expand the Analytics menu.

  3. To apply your default tracking values to links in the product block, select the Reset to defaults checkbox.

  4. To change the values applied to your tracking parameters for links in your product block, clear the Reset to defaults checkbox, and enter the values you want to use in each text field.

Button and border settings

The Button settings let you add a button to the products on your product block; you can style these to match your template.

To display and edit the button:

  1. Expand the Button settings left-side menu.

  2. To display a button for each product, select the Display button checkbox.

  3. To style the button, select BUTTON.

  4. Edit the styling of your button exactly as you want it. There are four main button styling fields:

    • Colour: Choose a background colour for your button. Either enter a Hex color code or select the paint can icon to choose a colour within the campaign, a custom colour, or use the color picker.

    • Alignment: Expand the drop-down menu and choose to align your button to the left, centre, right, or make it full-width.

    • Padding: Allows you to enter the amount of space you want around the button. Use the Horizontal and Vertical input fields to enter the number of pixels of padding you want for your button.

    • Minimum width: Define the smallest width of the button without breaking the layout. Minimum width is helpful to ensure that your button always has a certain width, regardless of the content inside.

Enter the minimum width in pixels to determine the minimum width of your button.

  5. To style the border of your button, select BORDERS.

  6. Edit the styling of your border exactly as you want it. There are four main border styling fields:

    • Colour: This is the colour of the border around your button. Either enter a Hex color code or select the paint can icon to choose a colour within the campaign, a custom colour, or use the color picker.

    • Border width: Border width refers to the thickness of the border around the button. In the Border width box, enter the number of pixels you want for your button border width.

    • Border radius: Border radius refers to the curvature of the corners of the button. In the Border radius box, enter the number of pixels of border-radius you want.

  7. If you need to customise your button further, select MANAGE BUTTON STYLES. In this side panel, you can choose a custom style or make more detailed customisations for the text.

Text style

You can style the text for the data you show in your product block. Select the text in your product block to style it. You can use the text toolbar to change the style, font, size, and colour.
