You can add PayPal buttons to your email campaigns or pages and forms. You can specify the description, cost, and other details for the product or service you're selling.

Add a PayPal button

  1. In EasyEditor, go to the Build menu and drag the PayPal block onto the EasyEditor canvas.

  2. The default Buy Now button appears.

Edit button settings

To open the Settings panel, select the PayPal block on the EasyEditor canvas. You can make edits to:

  • PayPal account email
Enter your business PayPal account email address.

Read more about business PayPal accounts.

  • Product name
Enter the name or description of your product or service. This is shown on the PayPal checkout page to your contact. You can use personalisation markers, such as @FIRSTNAME@, in these fields.

Read more about contact data field personalisation.

  • Product ID
Enter your stock keeping unit (SKU) or another product identifier. You can use this to match any PayPal payments to the correct product.

  • Price
Set the currency and price of your product, net of any taxes.

  • Tax rate
If you're required to charge tax on this product or service, enter the tax rate as a percentage.

  • Shipping
If you want to charge an additional fee for shipping or delivery, enter the cost here. This is charged in the same currency as your product. Taxes aren’t added to shipping costs.

Change the button style

To change your PayPal button settings, select the PayPal block on the EasyEditor canvas to open the Settings panel. From the panel, select Button so you can edit:

  • Button language
The default language is English, but you can choose from six other languages. This affects the Buy Now, Pay Now, or Donate button text.

  • Button text
You can choose to display Buy Now, Pay Now, or Donate on your button. Buy Now is generally used for products, and Pay Now can be used for services or downloads. Donate is for charitable purchases.

  • Alignment

You can change the horizontal alignment of your button.

  • Link name (for tracking)
You can add a link name for tracking purposes, so you can identify the link when you’re viewing your analytics.

Test your button

Once you have created your button and set the product and button settings, you can test it in two ways:

  • Quick test
To confirm your button settings are correct, preview your email campaign, page, or form, and select the button. This takes you to the PayPal checkout where you can confirm your details are appearing correctly.

  • Full test
To confirm the button looks and behaves as expected, test send your campaign and select your PayPal button from your inbox, or publish and visit your page or form and select the button.
