This is advance notice of planned maintenance work; we encourage you to read the below carefully to make yourself aware of the implications.
Sunday 20th November 2011, from 08:00 GMT to 18:00 GMT.
We have some pretty exciting changes to the way querying and contact segments work coming up. This maintenance work will lay down the foundations necessary to start rolling the changes out in the near future.
How will it affect me?
dotMailer will still be usable, but during this time you may notice:
- Reports not being updated. New open, click, page view and ROI data will not be available. This information will be stored and will start appearing from 18:00 GMT on Sunday; all data should be up-to-date by midnight on Sunday. No data will be lost.
- Slowness. Some areas of the system will be slower than normal, including segmentation and behavioural queries. Sends may go out slower and contact imports may be affected too.
- Report data via the API may be out-of-date. Calls to report-related API methods will return potentially out-of-date information.
Can I get up-to-date information during the maintenance?
Yes – follow @dotMailer on Twitter for updates. We will (as usual) be using the hashtag #dMmaint if you wish to filter out just our maintenance tweets.
What changes will I see?
Although this work is largely for behind-the-scenes changes, we will take the opportunity to make the new (and often requested) border and padding support for EasyEditor live. More on that following the update.
