Upgrade 20th August 2014 — Maintenance deploy

Scheduled maintenance and upgrade for dotmailer on 20th August 2014 includes the following improvements and fixes:

Improvements

  • In very rare scenarios, a recently suppressed contact could still be available for deletion within an address book, resulting in a 500 error page; this is no longer possible
  • EasyEditor was causing some PDF generations to crash; this has now been fixed
  • Admin users could sometimes receive an error page when they stopped impersonating another account; this no longer happens 
  •  Occasionally campaigns could fail to save due to an invalid post being made from EasyEditor; this has been fixed
  • The layout and display of localisations within the program builder configuration side panels have been improved 
  • A modification has been implemented to optimise SMS sends 
  •  Improvements have been made to notifying users of dependencies when deleting a classic survey, as well as improving other dependency management scenarios 
  •  An issue has been that was adding an extra semicolon to the style attributes of table elements on campaign save 
  • Contacts being loaded with invalid domains could cause 500 errors in reporting; this no longer happens
  • Campaign saving performance has been optimised 
  • An issue that saw certain pieces of dynamic content causing errors within parts of the app has been fixed 
  • Optimisation for loading contact lists has been implemented to address occurrences of 500 errors 
  • Campaign reply attachments can now be viewed, which wasn’t always the case 
  • A parent account can now impersonate a child account and view their classic surveys succesfully 
  • We’ve stopped some unnecessary Chrome console messages from displaying in relation to media queries 
  • Any cloned dynamic content is once more displaying as expected in the preview of a campaign; previously it was only showing a string name 
  • It was the case that a new dotmailer account trying to submit a Zendesk ticket couldn’t do so, as no Zendesk account was created; this has now been fixed 
  • A fix has been implemented to guard against time outs when deleting all contacts in a very large address book 
  • The Customer Insight Module wasn’t dealing deal with extremely long non-decimal number strings but now validation has been added
  • In the Customer Insight Module, a layout issue has been fixed in which contact data field titles could overlap the value of the field 
  • A fix has been implemented to ensure segmenting on 'Last opened date' equals 'Is empty' works correctly 
  • The Client Growth Report wasn’t working; it does again now 
  • The ‘New campaign’ button on the dashboard was visible, albeit disabled, for managed users who don’t have sending/editing campaign permissions; this has now been hidden
  • A fix has been implemented to address an issue related to exporting as an address book 
  • Some statistics graphs were plotting one hour ahead of the current time; this has now been fixed 
  • Discounted bands applied to a user are now correctly shown on the summary page; previously this wasn’t the case 
  • Closed classic surveys were still displaying as ‘Survey is live’ when viewing their properties; this has been fixed 
  • In classic editor, the ‘Insert link’ modal wasn’t big enough in Firefox to use properly, so this has now been resized 
  • There are now scrollbars available in the grid view in Firefox within the inner tab container; this wasn’t previously the case 
  • The height of the EasyEditor campaign save error modal was previously too small but has now been adjusted 
  • A fix has been implemented that was preventing the insertion of images when using classic dynamic content in classic editor 
  •  Programs with no 'time' events weren’t executing immediately upon activation; this now happens
  • A contact with multiple visits to a node in one program enrolment is now only listed once as being ‘currently at the node’; previously they were listed multiple times 
  • The input height on the contact data field modal within the segment editor has been fixed; previously it was too small 
  • The classic dynamic content menu in the EasyEditor side panel was showing non-classic dynamic content options; this is no longer the case 
  • The details button on the Watchdog page wasn’t working but it does now
  • Month names are now localised within the chart showing at the foot of the dashboard 
  • The dynamic rule builder is now localised 
  • The dropdown of countries for the sender address is now localised 
  • An address book can now successfully be created off of an ROI marker; this function wasn’t previously working (
  • An inbox test can now be ordered in one of our supported languages for the interface; previously this wasn’t working 
  • Whitelabel terms and conditions (Express) were incorrectly linking to the hardcoded dotmailer.com value rather than from the reseller billing settings; this has now been fixed 
  • For translations, the product dropdown layer was not as wide as the text behind it; this has now been fixed 
  • A fix has been implemented for an issue with EasyEditor personalisation in IE10 and IE11 
  • Using dynamic content within EasyEditor has been optimised 
  • Our redesign, which was launched on 9th July, had some minor layout and display issues which have now been fixed 
  • Dynamic content in reusable blocks is no longer removed upon saving 
  • In the reporting overview, the links URLs were shown twice; this is no longer the case 
  • A fix has been implemented for an issue with ‘My building blocks’/dynamic content
  • An address book used in a trigger can no longer be deleted (
  • 'My building blocks’ can now be created from unsaved dynamic content 
  • The scheduled campaign datepicker text box was too small; this has been corrected 
  • Support tickets created via the Help panel now support managed users
  • An issue has been fixed in relation to My reports > Chart: total sends stats 
  • Text colour is now selectable in IE 
  • It's no longer possible to attempt to save invalid segments in the classic triggers tool 
  • In EasyEditor, the ‘Image title’ button is clickable again
  • Google Analytics was reporting errors if reporting data was yet to be received; this has been fixed 
  • Plus 64 other bug fixes and improvements.
